On July 31, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) held the first-ever "Engineering and Operarions Research in Public Health" symposium where Georgia Tech's ISyE faculty and Center for Health & Humanitarian Logistics Co-Director, Dr. Julie Swann, highlighted various applications of industrial and systems engineering in public health policy and disease prevention.
